Anyone who has planned or even been at a wedding know it takes a lot of time and hard work to pull it off. So what do you do when someone no shows at your wedding (and we all know how expensive each plate can cost)? Do you suck it up and eat the cost? Should you take the high road?

A couple recently made headlines when they decided the high road really wasn’t what they wanted to do and billed their friend $75 for the cost of missing their wedding. Many people fired back and said that what they did was “disgusting” and that that paying for no show guests are just “part of the cost of weddings”.

There’s more to the story than you think. I dissected this conundrum in this week’s column.

Share your thoughts! Would you pay for the bill?
